Messaging Terms
What you are signing up for
Great Vibrations sends SMS reminders about work shifts you have claimed on this site. That is the only thing these messages are used for. There is no marketing, no promotions, and no third-party content.
How you opt in
By ticking the consent box on your camp profile and providing your mobile number. The box is unticked by default, and ticking it is entirely optional — you can join camp, claim shifts, and use every other part of this site without ever receiving a text.
Consent is not a condition of joining the camp or claiming shifts.
How many messages
Roughly two messages per shift you claim:
- One at 10am on the day of your shift
- One as your shift begins
- Sunrise shifts instead get one 30 minutes before, and one at the start
Nothing is sent outside the week of the event. If you claim three shifts, expect around six messages in total.
Cost
We do not charge for these messages. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan — ask your carrier if you are unsure.
Stopping messages
Reply STOP to any message and you will be unsubscribed immediately. You will receive one confirmation, then nothing further. You can also untick the consent box on your profile at any time, which has the same effect.
To start again, reply START or retick the box on your profile.

Carriers and delivery
Messages are delivered through Twilio. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Be aware that Black Rock City has almost no mobile coverage — many of these messages will not reach you on playa. Add your shifts to your calendar from the signup page and treat that as the reliable copy.
Your number
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number with anyone for marketing, and we do not pass it to third parties for their own use. See our Privacy Policy.
