Privacy Policy
This site exists for one purpose: letting members of the Great Vibrations theme camp create a profile and claim work shifts. It is not a commercial service. We do not advertise, we do not run analytics, and we have nothing to sell you.
What we collect
When you create a profile, we store:
- Your email address — from Google sign-in, or the one you register with directly.
- Your names — real name, preferred name, and playa name if you have one. Couples sharing a profile provide both partners' names.
- A photo of you, which you upload. It is resized and stored with your profile.
- Your mobile number, so camp leads can reach you and so we can text your shift reminders if you opt in.
- The shifts you claim, and when you claimed them.
- Whether you consented to SMS, and the date and exact wording you agreed to.
We do not collect payment details, location data, or anything from your device beyond the above.
Who can see it
Your name, photo, and claimed shifts are visible to other signed-in members of this camp. That is the point — the shift board shows who is working alongside you, and the name flashcards use your photo so campmates can learn who you are before the event.
Your mobile number and email address are not shown to other members. They are visible only to camp leads.
The site is not publicly readable. Signing in is required to see any member information.
Text messages
We never sell, rent, or share your mobile number with anyone for marketing purposes, and we do not share it with third parties for their own use. The only company that touches your number is Twilio, which delivers the messages on our behalf and may not use it for anything else.
Texts are sent only if you tick the consent box on your profile. They contain nothing but your own shift details — roughly two messages per shift you claim. You can stop them at any time by replying STOP, or by unticking the box on your profile. See our Messaging Terms for the full detail.
Where it lives
Profiles and shift data are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) in the United States. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication — if you use Google sign-in, we never see your password. The site itself is hosted by Vercel.
How long we keep it
Until the camp no longer needs it, and no longer than is useful for planning the next burn. Ask us to delete your profile at any time and we will remove it, along with your shift history.
Your choices
- Edit or correct anything on your profile at any time from the signup page.
- Opt out of texts by replying STOP or unticking the consent box.
- Ask for your profile to be deleted entirely — email us and it is done.
Children
This site is for adult camp members. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so on the signup page rather than quietly editing this page.
